Dartz!
This Is My Ship
Deep Elm CD
Yeah, I'm definitely picking up the angular rock that this trio is throwing down.
Dartz! will make you move! Seriously, if your head doesn't continuously jerk throughout the entire duration of This Is My Ship, then you need to get your auditory nerves checked.
This Is My Ship is an inspiring album that shines brightly (especially next to the sea of mundane rock plaguing ears nowadays). With sharp, jangly discordant rhythms This Is My Ship's quirkiness is as much charming as it is infectious. Dartz! will definitely make you dance a hole in your pair of Saucony's. Containing a similar feel to that of the herky-jerky dynamics of Q and Not U, Pittsburgh's Mary Celeste, and the playfulness of Free Diamonds, This Is My Ship is sure to put a smile on your face even on the most depressing of days.
With a plethora of high-hat action, piercing guitar picks, punchy bass beats, and a few Ric Flair "Wooos," U.K.'s Dartz!'s caffeinated rhythms and high energy makes This Is My Ship one fun listen. Highly recommended if you kick your feet to the aforementioned bands.
